Troop Meeting Notes – 9/20/16

  • Sep 27 Fall Court of Honor Pot Luck in the Fellowship Hall. Dinner at 6:30 and awards at 7:30. Bring enough food to feed your family and more.
  • Continuation of troop inventory Sep. 24 at Mr. Rhue’s mother’s home at 688 Ferne Drive, Longwood, FL 32779
    near the intersection of Markham Woods Rd and EE Williamson. We should be done by 12:30. Lunch will not be provided. Wear work clothes and bring water, work gloves, suntan lotion, and a towel.
  • Patrol Meal Plans and Duty Rosters must be used and approved by the patrol advisor and Mr. Sifrit.
  • Oct. 29th Crew Fishing Campout. Anyone over 14 can attend.
  • OA elections Oct.4th.
  • Oct. Campout to Stone Mountain. Oct. 13-16 (Thursday – Friday). If you’re going to Stone Mountain you have the option to complete the Metal Working Merit Badge. The next class is Oct. 4th, and Mr. Haynie will provide worksheets if you don’t have one. You can only wear a long sleeve cotton shirt (NO SYNTHETICS).
  • Jason Sleboda is selling Chick-Fil-A coupon calendars for $8 each.
  • Michael Garcia Eagle Scout Court of Honor Oct. 11th at 7pm.

Troop Meeting Notes – 9/13/16

  • Metal Working classes start 9/20/16 during patrol time if you’re going on the Stone Mountain campout. Request Blue Cards for the Metal Working Merit Badge
  • ASMs meeting at the Northwest Library 9/19 at 6:45 (In-between Lake Mary High School and Greenwood Lakes Middle School).
  • Crew Meeting Oct. 29th Sea Fishing Campout, $60 Scouts $70 Adults due by Sep. 20th. The campout includes lunch and all scouts over 14 years old even if not in crew can attend.
  • Ryan Sifrit Eagle Scout Project Sep. 17th from 10-1:30.
  • September Campout: September 17th\. Arrive at Holy Cross Sep. 17th wearing bathing suit, and we will leave at 7:15. The canoe trip to Jimeni Springs Park is 4 hours long. Troop 854 has reserved Pavilion 3. You can bring your own canoes, and adults for pulling more canoes are needed. Volunteers to create menus for the Sep. campout, need drivers to drive from High Banks Arena to Jemeni Springs Park.
  • For Stars and Lifes 8:00 Leadership Meeting.
  • Fall COH Sep. 27th.

Troop Meeting Notes – 9/6

  • Annual Dues can have a $30 discount if paid, by September 13th. After that date, the price goes up to $180.
  • September Campout: September 17th, the cost is $6 by September 13th. Arrive at Holy Cross Sep. 17th wearing bathing suit, and we will leave at 7:15. The canoe trip to Jimeni Springs Park is 4 hours long. Troop 854 has reserved Pavilion 3. You can bring your own canoes, and adults for pulling more canoes are needed.
  • Ryan Sifrit’s eagle scout project is September 17th from 10:30am  – 1pm at DR. Phillips high school.
  • Metal Working during patrol time starting Sep. 20th.
  • Troop Inventory check on Sep. 20th.
  • The October campout to Stone Mountain Georgia is $130 for scouts and $90 for adults.
  • Philmont practice hike Sep. 24th Lake Monroe Park at 7am.
  • The Barefoot Mailman practice hikes will begin in early October.
  • Fall COH Sep. 27th. Volunteer needed to be the master of ceremonies. Talk to Mr. Sifrit if interested. (Communications requirement 8)
  • Blitz weekend for popcorn sales, enter forms Tuesday for extra prizes.

Troop Meeting Notes – 8/23

Bring bathing suits, towels, sunscreen to the campout this weekend.  [Meeting at 6pm at Holy Cross]
Pictures reschedules to August 30, be at the courtyard at 7:15   [Full uniform including neckerchief]
Pay dues by Sept 6 ($150), if not payed by then It increases to $180
Turn in Leadership forms. [These were due on 8/23]

Summer Camp
-Veteran scouts owe $400 by next Tuesday
-New Scouts owe $350 by next Tuesday
-Adults must pay $250 by next Tuesday
-Health forums, physicals and merit badge books need to be filled or obtained
-Deadline is May 1 if you don’t want to attend camp. Troop must pay a non-refundable payment at that time for scouts and adults.

-Scouts $33 and Adults $28

-Orion Patrol shift 8:00-10:00
-Flaming Eagles, Nuclear Squirrels and Dragons are from 10:00-12:00
-Phantom Aces 12:00-2:00
-Titans 2:00-4:00
-Cerberus have no given time and are able to come from 8:00-4:00

-Troop committee meeting April 27 at 7:30

-OA at roundtable on 4/21 at LDS church. 6:30 (OA know who they are)

Scout Sunday – Feb 8th, 2015

Greetings,

Thank you to all of the Scouts and volunteers that made the annual Scout Sunday Troop pancake breakfast for Holy Cross a huge success.  We served hundreds of hungry parishioners and showed out thanks to one of the best beneficiary organizations in Central Florida!
